Don't EVER bother boiling corn again!!!! Save the nutrients, flavor and time. Toss corn, husks, silks & all, into the microwave, 3 min. per ear on high. Let sit for a couple of minutes. Handle carefully with a couple of kitchen mitts. Stand next to trash can, peel off husks and silks in one sweep each side. Butter and enjoy! You will be amazed at the difference!

Mmm, sounds delicious!

You could also soak the whole ears in water for awhile, then pop them on your grill until they are done. The outside usually gets charred, but it more or less protects the corn. Some parts do get a little brown, but I like the flavor. Great when sprinkled with lime juice and salt.

Thanks will try. Have you ever tried pulling the shuck back and wrapping in bacon then pulling the shuck back over them and grilling them?Have read about this but haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

These suggestions sound good. I've grilled corn on the BBQ, using butter under the shucks.

I've also steamed cobs that have been shucked. Steaming would retain more nutrients than boiling, wouldn't it?
