I love to grill asparagas! First, cut off about 1 inch of tough stems. Bring a pot of water to boil & drop asparagus in for about 45 seconds to blanch. Rinse with cold water & dry well.
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 gloves minced garlic and salt & pepper to taste. Pour over asparagus and marinate this approximately 30-45 min., stirring occasionally. Drain vinegar off right before cooking
Grill over med heat, turning frequently. (I use a grill basket for this - this way, the asparagus won't fall through the cooking rack)
