What sort of milk do you prefer? I try to eat healthily, but I avoid skim milk because I've heard that in taking the fat content down, they also accidentally remove all the healthy stuff, too, like vitamins. On the other hand, whole milk is just so rich, I can't quite drink it. So, 2% for me. How about you?

I used to drink skim, but now I find it too watery/tasteless and usually went with 1% or 2%, and stuck to using whole milk in only a few recipes. Unfortunately, I just recently started becoming lactose intolerant and can't drink nearly as much milk as a used to, which is a shame since I considered myself "addicted."

Just "started becoming" lactose intolerant? Wow that's a tough change to get used to.

I use skim milk for pretty much everything except coffee - then I use 2%

I use 2% for drinking or on cerreals, but still prefer to use whole milk when I am cooking. Somehow, the recipes just seem to turn out better to me when I use the whole milk.

I'm a 2% kind of girl myself. Growing up I hated milk and later realized I didn't hate all milk, just whole milk.

We use 1% Lactaid milk, because my wife is lactose intolerant. I only use it in cereal.

I take my coffee and tea black.

I love milk! We generally use whole, for the reason mentioned above - that we have read that in removing fat they remove more. If it were available, we'd likely use raw from a farm... it has the best taste and definitely the best nutrients!

I like 2% myself. I found skim to be too watery as well.

I grew up on fresh cow's milk, and it is good stuff. But I can live with the 2% pretty well just for drinking and with cereal and such. But I noticed a long time back that if I made a recipe that called for milk, like a soup, a casserole, or even a pie filling, it did not seem to set as well unless I used whole milk.
