Our Soup Recipe contest was one of the BEST contests we've had so far. All the soups turned out fantastic, each received at least 1 First Place vote and it was an EXTREMELY close result:

And your Soup Recipe Contest Winner is.........

FIRST PLACE: Refreshing Gaspacho (by faunron)
The word refreshing is an accurate adjetive to describe this recipe. It was the recipe most consistently near the top of our judges' lists and for good reason. Absolutely delicious!

SECOND PLACE: Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (by Flash50+)
The consistency and sweetness of the roasted butternut squash were superb and it's a shame there can't be two first place winners as this recipe actually received the most 1st place votes out of the bunch! Highly recommended and the picture doesn't do justice to vibrant color and beauty of the dish when served:

THIRD PLACE: Italian Sausage and Tortellini Soup (by JMW)
While it wasn't officially the winner of the contest, it was a winner in the minds of judges - we'll certainly be preparing this soup again. While initially concerned that the recipe may have been a little too heavy on the spices, we were impressed with the way it came together and it turned out just right.

FOURTH PLACE: Paella Soup (by Sara)
This recipe for Paella Soup was unlucky to have such tough competition! Even though it "technically" landed in last place, the judges still gave it the ChefClub thumbs up approval.

Thank you to ALL of our contestants, finalist and our winner for participatin in the March 2009 ChefClub Soup Recipe Contest! Check back soon as we'll be announcing our next ChefClub contest in the near future!

@faunron please PM me your contact information so I can send you your winning $50 Amazon Gift Certificate! I'll follow up with you in a day or two if I haven't heard back from you!

Not.

Thanks anyway.

faunron,
The gift certificate you won in the soup contest was sent last week VIA EMAIL!! If it is not in your mailbox, check your SPAM box. We would not have told you it was "in the mail" if that were not the case. You should have had plenty of time to place an order for Mother's Day.

Faunron,

Apologies for the confusion but you should have received the Gift Certificate on Sunday, May 3rd in your email. I have a confirmation number from Amazon so if there is an issue, I am happy to follow up with them. I've sent you a PM indicating the Email address it was sent to and all that jazz.

Thanks,
Rob
