Does anyone have one of those convection turbo ovens? I have just purchased one but the recipe book only had three recipes in it. Does anyone have any recipes or cooking times for this appliance?

Cooked some lamb shanks the other night in the turbo oven. They came out beautifully.

Still experimenting at the moment so if anyone has any recipes they would be much appreciated.

Well I seem to be getting the hang of this appliance. Cooked a chicken in it the other day and it came out really nice but still looking for recipes.

Sorry nobody found an answer quicker! I guess that's probably because many people have the same question...

What I have heard is best (and worked for me) is to simply experiment under a couple simple guidelines. Take your favorite recipes and cook them at a slightly lower temperature (try 25f degrees less) AND for a shorter period of time. That's right- even at a lower temperature things should cook quicker and more evenly. The longer a recipe calls for in the oven, the longer you'll want to reduce time in a convection oven.

But, like I said, practice and experimenting makes perfect. If I find some great recipes specifically for convection ovens I'll let you know!

I'll let you know. My mother just bought one and is doing a chicken in it for dinner tonight. I'll report back after dinner!

Dinner did not go well. Once again she ended up putting the chicken into the regular oven to finish.

I don't have one but have been thinking of getting one. So I am interested in how good it really works. So any information would really help. Thank you.

Well I have cooked quite a few different things in the oven. Cooking roasts work out extremely well. I tried putting roast vegetables in it but they tend to come out a bit dry so they will stay in the regular oven.

I never thought of cooking scones in the turbo oven.

Make sure you post your recipes for the oven. I have a turbo oven as well so would love to get some fresh ideas.
