I love baked ham, deviled eggs, saw dust salad and rolls. Oh, and of course chocolate bunnies for desert! Easter is my absolute favorite holiday. I love spring and egg hunts and all that stuff.

First of all I would like to know what dust salad. I had ham sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes, coleslaw corn and homemade rolls, and apple pie.

Our menu was ham, sweet potatoes, macaroni & cheese, baked pineapple,
and pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling. I wasn't sure I was going to make
the traditional meal, but I'm glad I did.

Saw dust salad is actually pretty easy to make. You don't have to actually cook anything, as everything comes in cans and out of the dairy case. Here's a simple recipe:

2 c. fruit cocktail (16 oz.)
1 can crushed pineapple (16 oz.)
1 sm. bowl cottage cheese
1 med. bowl Cool Whip
1 box orange or strawberry Jello

Drain fruit cocktail and pineapple. Add cottage cheese, Cool Whip and Jello and mix well. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

I prefer the small curd cottage cheese and I have been known to use lime jello instead. It is so easy you can afford to experiment a little bit.

Wow, that is easy! I'd never heard of it before this either. How do you serve it then... just in a mound in a bowl?
