My favorite holiday is thanksgiving. I enjoy when all the family gets together. I am from the Us and have never heard of Boxing day. It sounds really neat. Is there any certain food you eat on that day?

I'm in Canada and my favourite holiday is Christmas. My childhood memories of family and friends and turkey dinners are brought back every year with the traditional music and decorations.

Boxing Day for us is still with family and Christmas leftovers, but no specific food for that day.

Easy question for me! I've adored everything about Christmas since I was a wee little girl. I start getting excited about (and start shopping!) as soon as September rolls around. The whole ambiance of it thrills me. Coming in second would have to be Thanksgiving and third would be the US Labor Day. If that sounds odd, it's because it marks the beginning of my favorite season, fall, AND the start of Christmas thoughts.

I like almost every holiday. Holiday means to have a great time with my family. I don't have that much time to spend with my parents, whenever there is holiday, am with my family. My favorite holiday is independence day. There is a lot of happiness all around.I like the fireworks on that day!!!!

The Independence Day for the U.S. - July 4th? It'd be interesting to see how different countries celebrate their Independence Day and how high up it is on their rung of "favorite holidays".

I would have to pick Thanksgiving because all you have to do is cook. You don't have to worry about finding the perfect gift for someone, wrap it, then worry about cooking haha.

I am looking forward to hosting family and friends this Thanksgiving. I usually prepare a traditional turkey dinner but would love to have some special pumpkin desserts in addition to my standard pumpkin and apple pies. Any ideas?? Thanks to all - I have enjoyed so many of the recipes posted on this site

Mamagia,
I posted a recipe for Pumpkin Bars in the "Recipes" section. This would be a terrific addition to your Thanksgiving dessert table! Enjoy

Thanksgiving is about to hit us. Is everyone ready to start the oven? Seems like the best time to go to the market to grab everything is now. My market already got Thanksgiving foods onsale now.
