Some great dessert entries for this contest and here were the runners up:
5th Place:
Cherry Yum Yum submitted by hardcase:
This is another dessert that will serve a crowd!! Cherries a bit lost in the Cool Whip. Coconut and Pecans added favorable texture.
4th Place:
Raspberry, White Chocolate, and Almond Trifle submitted by jmw:
We made this in a trifle dish - presentation was good. ChefClub staff opinion was that the chocolate was overpowered by the whipped cream. We would cut back on the amount of heavy cream from 2 1/2 cups whipped cream to 1 1/2 cups.
3rd Place:
Chocolate Ricotta Cheesecake submitted by mamagia:
This was made in a pie plate but you must use a deeper pan - the batter ran over the edges of the pie plate. Good flavor and consistency but the baking time should also be cut back from 2 hours to 1 hour 45 min to avoid dryness.
Runner Up:
Chocolate Eclair Cake submitted by hardcase:
A VERY close second place was a favorite of many judges. This had good flavor and consistency & tasted just like an eclair!! This is very rich and the 9x13 pan we made would easily serve 15-20.
And The Dessert Contest Winner!!!!!!!!
Rhubarb Cream Tart submitted by sara:
Chef Club Dessert Winner!! This was the overwhelming favorite of Chef Club Staff Taste testers. Great flavor & texture. We chose to use pecans rather than hazelnuts in our version. We recommend serving this with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Thanks everyone and Sara, I'll be sending you a PM to get your contact info so we can send you your $50 Amazon Gift Card!
