I've never had sushi before and would like to know which types of sushi would be good for beginners? I'm not too fond of eating raw fish or anything weird right away. What's your favorite sushi?

It depends on what you like, and you mention that you don't like raw fish, but how do you know this. Sushi, for the most part, is just raw fish. I would stick to the basics, don't try the eel or anything. Just go with crab, tuna, stuff like that.

i would suggest tuna w/mayo, egg, cucumber & crab or as we call it
" salad " and grilled eel. have u tried any yet & how was it? i like
the raw salmon cause it doesn`t look as raw as tuna for e.g.
P.S if u don`t try sushi w/ raw fish then u haven`t really tried
the REAL thing right?

Start with the ones that don't have raw fish... I believe some people call them "California Rolls" although the Japanese have a formal name for them that is slipping my mind.

You could also try Tempura type Sushi where the fish that is usually raw is actually fried. Some of it is really, really good.

I would recommend to anybody to try "Seaweed Salad" as an appetizer. It might not sound terrific, but at my favorite Sushi place (Edo Sushi in Baltimore) it is fantastic.
