There are two things I often have trouble doing:
- Finding new and unique activities for weekends
- Finding good gifts to give family and friends on holidays, birthdays, anniverserries and things like that.
I think I may have found the solution to my (and perhaps your) problem. Why don't you take (or give)! a culinary cooking vacation!
I recently came across a company called
Excitations. Basically, they are the experts in "experience" gift giving and you can find amazing experiences in Washington D.C., Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco. There are a handful that Cooking Enthusiasts would absolutely LOVE. Some are as little as $100 but here are some of the more extravagant:
- Petrossian Caviar Tasting & Dinner - VIP dinner for two at one of the world's most extravagant restaurants designed by Ion Oroveano.
- Make Your Own Wine
- Private Curry Cooking Class
- Presidential Weekend at the Rittenhouse Hotel
And the list goes on. And that's just the Gourmet section. They also have exciting things like Hot Air Baloon rides, Racecar Driving experiences... stuff that's just out of this world that you could NEVER set up on your own.
If you're in one of these areas I would highly recommend checking this out. I got my parents the "Scotch Tasting" in Washington DC for Christmas.
