This has become a weekend favorite for us!

You'll need (we approximate amounts to taste and they are dependent on quantity you intend to make):
-bread of choice
-egg
-vanilla
-cinnamon
-cornflake crumbs

Combine egg, vanilla (usually a teaspoon does the trick), and cinnamon. Dip bread in this mixture, then coat evenly with the cornflake crumbs. Place on hot griddle and cook until each side is slightly brown. These are great with honey or maple syrup!

No problem!

This works best when the crumbs are as small as possible, like the size of the ones you can get storebought. If they are too large, they won't stick as well. Sorry I forgot to mention that in my first post.

You know, there is a cereal cookbook out there! Thanks for posting this. I am not a big french toast eater, but I am a cornflake eater, so maybe....

Why not give it a go? I thought it was the strangest combination until I tried it. I'm sure you could substitute bran flakes or something if you want something healthier. I may try that tomorrow actually, hehe.

Have you ever made a fried chicken batter using corn flakes? Works great!
