Brownies

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup butter
3 fluid ounces boiling water
3 eggs
4 ounces chocolate chips (40-50% cocoa)
5 ounces chopped pecan nuts

For the frosting
6 tablespoons milk
6 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and milk.
Bring to a boil and back for 30 seconds.
chips and vanilla, take off stove; let sit for 2 minutes to melt chips- don't stir during this time or frosting will be grainy.
After 2 minutes, stir well.
Frost brownies while icing is warm;
Frosting will be runny(pour) but will set up on the brownies.
cool completely and cut into squares.

Brownies as an appetizer? Or was this suppose to be in the dessert section? I mean, I love brownies and I'd eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could so it doesn't bother me! Haha...

Just kind of eager to get your input on this.

As another chocolateholic I think chocolate is good for a appetizer, dessert, snack or just to set the mood.I guess brownies qualifly as the perfect food good as you say for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cut into smaller cubes and see how fast they are gone from the appetizer tray(quite fast if I am around[:-).
