Katharina - this is similar to the recipe for meatballs prepared with grape jelly. I prefer this one, though. HOpe you like it!
Saucy Cocktail Meatballs
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup cornflake crumbs
1/3 c dried parsley flakes
2 eggs
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/3 c catsup
3 Tbsp minced onion
Combine all of above ingredients & mix well. Form into small, bite-size meatballs. Arrange on 9x13 baking pan
In a small saucepan, combine the following:
1 14-16 oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Cook this over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is smooth and cranberry sauce has melted Pour over meatballs. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 340 degrees OR
After mixing and shaping meatballs, put them in your CROCK POT!! Pour cranberry mixture over top and cook on medium setting for about 4-6 hours
