Start with the ones that don't have raw fish... I believe some people call them "California Rolls" although the Japanese have a formal name for them that is slipping my mind.

You could also try Tempura type Sushi where the fish that is usually raw is actually fried. Some of it is really, really good.

I would recommend to anybody to try "Seaweed Salad" as an appetizer. It might not sound terrific, but at my favorite Sushi place (Edo Sushi in Baltimore) it is fantastic.
